Mental Health Awareness
Now working in the Public Art field with my large metal sculpture, I am able to reach a wider audience. My sculptures will be participatory involving anyone seeing it. The goal is to raise awareness and the wish for people not to be ashamed to get help. We all can work on getting mentally healthier. Currently working on a 13 to 15 foot sculpture called Project Let Go. In the shape of a human, one walks through the sculpture writing down what they want to “Let Go”…more to come…
Masking Addiction Series
Life size translucent fiberglass wall sculptures. 10 in this series, and a men’s body mask series in the works. All different, yet the same materials used since as humans, we are all made up of approximately 99 percent of the same elements. Each 52 x 15.5 x 1.5 inches and are about 3 pounds light as we can be so delicate so the art portrays its fragility as well. Exploring the many addictions, moods and personalities people hide in this series of different body masks that are worn and hidden by many.
Wanting society to be more accepting of Mental Health Awareness and letting go of the stigma of getting help.

Choose Happiness
In reference to people living in the past or constantly planning the future can leave one not to grow or flourish. This rose represents someone very close to me who can find the light but it then shuts off again and again in a vicious cycle. It took them to near death to finally deal with this lifelong issue. People should be able to seek help when they need it without the social stigmas attached...global issue. This is one fiberglass mixed media form of a rose with a remote controlled lighting system from behind.
